At Twenty years old back in 2006, I made the best decision I would ever make. I became a Carpenter. The skilled trades have brought me places I would have never dreamed. I've done construction in multiple countries and continents, and learned so much along the way.
I understood pretty early on that in order to be successful and build a full career in the trades, you have to take care of your body.
Dealing with my own health issues like Acid reflux and Folliculitis, I started down a path that lead me to become the Healthy Tradesman.
Over the past 15 years, I've tried all types of dietary and lifestyle strategies. I've discovered what really works. Diet and lifestyle are the only real lasting changes you can make for better health. Pharmaceutical companies are not here to help you!

I really enjoy working with Silas because he actually knows what he's talking about. He always has an exact reason as to why he has me do something. (Which is an amazing feat in itself because I literally question everything, just ask him). I think the most important thing about the approach Silas takes is that this is a lifestyle change. It's not some challenge to get ripped in 6 weeks and then all is better. His suggestions and programs are catered towards making small, sustainable changes that can (and will!) help everyone to live a longer, healthier, and happier life! Holy Moly!! I have learned so much!!I wanted to take my fitness to another level with CrossFit. I also wanted to learn more about food what to eat etc. (1 didn't know much at all honestly) I definitely did it with his program. I learned so much great information. I was completely mind blown of all the bad I was eating and what horrible things are in certain oils/food etc. (kinda scary)in about 3-4 months of being consistent taking his advice, my muscles started to show I've gotten so many compliments from people that I'm looking "Lean" and not to mention feeling like a BEAST in my workouts with PRs non stop!! His program is not hard. I enjoyed the process and you will to! He's honest and is always there to answer any questions I had when it came to food. Keep at it Silas!
